The pride of Southeast Alaska! Amalga is Juneau's first distillery and creators of what many of us here see as "the best gin there is, hands down." Their Juneauper Gin is supremely flavorful without being overpowering. Devil's club, spruce tips and rhubarb, all local, are just some of the botanicals at play in this masterpiece. Though juniper forward, as its pun-extremely-intended name suggests, the spotlight is shared by a very lovely pine character as well.
This is exactly what your Martini or Negroni has been missing. Clocking in at a respectable 96 proof, take care to play it cool. It will sneak up on you faster than you think, not speaking from experience or anything.
