Originally brewed only for the winter months to keep us warm, happy, and satiated.

After WW2, the brewing world was hit with a shortage of raw materials. The monks considered closing the brewery. But failure is not an option. Like my grandpa always said, "When life gives you lemons, make a lemonade factory."

The soft drinks that were produced were sold under the brand names Ariston and Whist.
